Miso Soup

Time flies so fast and it is already Sunday! :(
I decided not to go out today. Just felt like staying at home and re-charge my energy.

Recently, I have been craving for miso soup haha eversince I tasted it at the NTUC foodcourt at Raffles.
Honestly, the first time when I try it, I kinda dislike it. I guess I was not use to the taste but ever since then somehow I fall in love with it. Then, I saw one of the Facebook seller sold the miso paste , a halal homemade one, so I decided to give it a go.

Today, since I had the time, I just tried it out with whatever that I have at home.
SO it's beef & tofu miso soup it is. LOL!

It is a very simple dish, prolly about 15 mins??
Yup. It's that easy and fast

Updates Updates Updates!

Good Morning Bloggers~! Time flies so fast and we are already on the 10th day of Ramadhan.
Alhamdullilah, it has been a smooth journey for me. Even the weather is a blesssings. I remembered just a week before Ramadhan, the weather was hot, humid & dry till my skin starts to react with the weather. I had to go to the doctor to get some medicated cream to ease my agitated skin. But amazingly, in the month of Ramadhan, the weather is such a blessings. Cool weather and infact almost everyday it's raining.
 Syukur Alhamdulilah!

Like always, I have not been updating this blog. Ha ha! There's few things which I will update today.

1st - Our 2nd Appointment with HDB.

Yup, we have been called for our 2nd appointment with HDB on 29th June. It was the first day of Ramadhan and it is on Sunday. We were glad that it falls on a weekend so we don't have to waste our leave. ( We need to save a lot of leave for the end of the year u know~:P) The appointment was such a breeze. The appointment was at 2.15pm but we came at 1.45 and immediately was called in. Apparently, the person who was having appointment at 130 have not showed up yet. So we were indeed lucky! Settled this and we shall now just wait for 2017 to come. It is expected to be ready by Q1 2017, but as per norm they will advise that it will normally be read 1 year ahead. I hope they do a good job to the BTO Flat. So much news of defects already. Now is the time to work extra hard to earn the CPF $$. Mahal betul flat nih. By the time the flat is ready..our $$ in the CPF pun kena wiped out t 0! Hur hur!

2nd - Dulang Hantaran

Managed to get some more stuffs of mine and him. So this month, the target is to send our baju to the tailor.
Need to find a date and shall inform my SIL to take me to her tailor house. We also got a draft design of our customised wedding band from Gems by Gems. Such a beautiful piece, can't wait to see the real thing.

3rd -Office Matters

Eversince taking up the new account and concurrently servicing a big project for the company. My work have been neverending. I normally practice completing my work task by end of the day but now 8hours of work is still insufficient to complete it. I even had to bring it home to work on it. I know this is not healthy. I miss my work life balance. Im hoping this phase will end soon & I shall be back on track

4th - Weight Matters

Honestly speaking, I have not been exercising religiously. I did a little but not to the maximum.
What else in the fasting month? Badan mcm letih je hahaha!
Need to push myself after fasting...but oh the temptation of lauk pauk raya...aiyahh!! :(

Ok lah..that's all I can say.
Need to start working already..
Toodles!

Mission Possible

So what's all this about the mission possible?

I made a mission to lose weight. LOL! I know nothing new right. Every BTBs will be going through this phase somehow. Ok so how am I going to make this mission possible.

First - I welcome myself to the Amore Club again but this round I'm determine (Chey!)
My previous membership expires in Aug last year and since then I took a break. Honestly, it was such a waste of money during that time because I did not utilize the whole package. Well, I was mainly at the Bugis Outlet. Though it was quite near to my workplace but it was so far to go back home & my package which I sign up did not allow me to enter Tampines 1 Club.

So this time round, I sign up at Tampines 1 Club. Little did I know that Tampines 1 Club have this package by entry. Damn! If I know I would have sign up at Tampines 1 in the first place. Bugis outlet did not recommend me that kind of package. Well, what past is past. What's important is now! =)

Second - I invested to Herbalife again!  I know there are some people who are not keen in this meal replacement kind of thing.I have tried this before & it works for me. I drop almost 15kg when I was on this previously. Of course, you cannot depend on meal replacement totally. You will need to exercise as well to get your desire weight faster. When you do combo = you lose weight :)

This was me back then. Oh my Gawd!

I will share on my journey back then on another entry. For now, I am starting back on Herbalife. Insyallah, I am able to resist all those sinful food. Goodbye fastfood, OCK and my teh tarik - for now! :P

My mission starts yesterday with an evening jog.
Jiayou! Fighting! Ganbatte!

Sick, No Sense of Motivation & Demoralised

Eventually I fall sick on Thursday & went to the doc to take on MC but was not given 2 days MC. So today, I visit the doctor again to extend my MC but ended up being put on Nebuliser instead due to the extreme phlegm that I am having & that causes me to have difficulties in breathing. Alhamdulilah, I can breathe in peace now &s till recovering from my cough.

At 3pm, I was being asked by my GM at work to dial in as there was an important announcement that need to be made. I know what it was about as my colleague Julie have WA me in the morning to relay the shocking message to me. Yes, one of my colleagues, HY was asked to leave the company & was given a 3 months notice. All this while, when someone leave the team, we somehow expect it and not surprised by it. But this time round, it was quite a blow & somehow a lot of the lower level ppl are not really happy about this.

The reason the management gave was they were restructuring & they find that the position HY hold is not necessary & they will instead hire an Asst Brand Manager. Seriously, I begged to differ. Do they really know what kind of work she does & what shit she have to go through. Will the Asst Brand Manager do all this background work? Yes only the lower level will know what we go through. My JD is somewhat similar to her and so I roughly know how tough it is to coordinate with our distributor on certain things & at the same time meeting the demand of each individual Key Accounts.

However, rumours are spreading stating that the actual reason why she was asked to leave was because my functional boss YG & her direct boss complains about her & they are not happy with her attitude because she dun talk. This annoys me. What is this all about not talking. Even my functional boss, YG have been approaching my team that we need to talk more. Urgh!

HY, I can describe her as a young capable lady . However, the setback that she have is her attitude. She is kind of loud & rough. Her speech can be considered rude. She always use vulgarities, though not to anybody else but just to release her anger and frustrations. However, she always voice out her opinion and will always respond is she feels things are not right. SO which part of her is not talking?

YG, My functional boss. Can I just bad mouth him here? Seriously, I gave up on him a year ago. He is the most lazy manager that I ever encounter with. Everything you asked him, he does not know. Even simple Excel , he don't know to navigate. The moment he open his mouth to talk, I can feel my blood pressure rise up..coz the things that come out from him mouth are all stupid things. All this while, I have been doing everything on my own without any guidance from him. I face the shit alone. I'm lucky now I have another Lady JL who can assist me in some things which I don't know. But she is just 6 months old in the company & her JD is way different from me. Everyone have been complaining about him, but he still survive in this company. So who is he to complain abt HY? Furthermore, he ever told me that he dun like HY because he finds her aggressive.

So now, a person who don't talk much can be asked to leave the company. Since when our position requires PR skills? Look, we talk when necessary.. we talk about business..about work. Honestly, I dun have time to go around and chit chat to all other ppl. I have tons of things to do & I'm doing it alone. By nature, I am a quiet person, but that doesn't mean I don't talk. I talk important & valuable things not go around and talk just to fill up my time.

On a serious note, I'm losing faith in this company & my heart is no more here. Maybe I should go..:(

Zumba Gelek Gelek

Ok side track sikit. As you can see, I have include one page for my chosen vendor. Basically, on her side, I have actually secure some booking. But for his side, in fact there is none that have been booked except for the Pak Andam & Sirih Lat Lat, because it came with my package. Can you believe that I actually did all that booking within 1 week after I get engaged. That is really fast..chop chop punya..Hehe.

Alright, so lets go back to the topic. I use to go Zumba at I AM STUDIOS own by Isham. It is more of a dance studio lah I can say. There's Zumba, Hip Hop, Kpop, Salsa and etc. Honestly, it was fun there. I actually like Marisol's Class. She is one super sweet lady and very friendly. Nih bukan nak kembang lah,  but somehow we can feel that she really like it when we came to her class. Hehe. The best thing abt this place is that , it is very affordable. It is only like $8 per class & the class is super small that sometimes only me and my friend is in the class. Theres a pro & con lah. Best is, we got personal attention. The not so good part is that, everytime we cannot make it, we have to inform them coz we dont want the instructor to come but no students. However.due to the inconvenience of the location (it is at Aljunied -about 10 mins walk from the MRT) & the size of the class, we have to opt out from it. Our Class which was always on fri night have to be cancelled as there was not a high response and most of them prefer a sunday class.

So, I decided to join this Fiesta Fitness.

First reason - it's very convenience & near to my place. The branch that I went is at the Tampines Swimming Complex. Right next to TSC Office. Easy to locate. They had other branches as well at Golden Mile Complex, Waterloo, Bukit Batok, Bishan, Woodlands, Clementi & Yio Chu Kang. They use to have 1 at Changi, but no more I guess. You need to register at the Meetup website & from there you are able to see thier calender. All you need to do is just to RSVP at that time slot that you are coming. They take about 30-40 slots per session. The cost for 1 session is $12. If you are the active one and want to go zumba like maybe 3 - 4 times a week, it's best if you purchase their punch card. $110 for 10 session & $200 for 20 session. However, You have to use it up within 3 months of purchase. They have 4 types of Zumba & recently they introduce Zumba for Kids as well. Isn't it cool??:)

  1. Zumba Gold® – Zumba Gold targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers. It takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba Fitness-Party is known for: the zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere. Active older adults want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. Zumba Gold is the perfect fit. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun.
(More for older Participant & Beginners)
  2. Zumba® Fitness – When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.
(More for the young & fit Participant)
  3. Zumba® Toning – When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, glutes and thighs. Zumba Toning is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast.
  4. Zumba® in the Circuit – Maximize your workout while still having a total blast. Zumba in the Circuit is 60 minutes of high-octane, Latin-inspired dance-fitness moves combined with circuit training, a series of strength exercises at timed intervals. Get the metabolism-boosting, strength-building benefits of circuit training while perfecting Zumba moves—all in the same class! Guaranteed to blast calories and thwart boredom, Zumba in the Circuit moves students from one exercise station to the next to the thumping beats of reggaeton, salsa, merengue, hip-hop and more. Be in and out in 60 minutes flat —this time-effective and efficient class can be adapted for all fitness levels.

So, I went for yesterday evening class from 7pm - 8pm. Zumba Instrctor was Faiz (Melayu berbual slang u..lol!) Everything was fun. Since I had done Zumba previously, it was not so kekok since some of the steps are similar. Nice music..Nice Dance. Banyak gelek-gelek. Best part, si faiz nih boleh gelek lagi lembut dari aku lah eh...haha..takleh tasyan! Kita yang paiseh tgk dier gelek. Can you believe it, there's also Indian song..and I have to joget India..hauhauahua!! Funny seh..but all is cool. I love this Zumba. For sure I am going to this club again, since they have Zumba session almost every day. The only thing is that you need to RSVP in advance. Hot jugak Zumba nih..selalu fully booked & kena waiting list!

Any BTB's staying in the east wanna join me for Zumba??

=)=)=)

I am blogging right now from my iPad. How convenience it is to blog from iPad...I know but at times I do feel more comfortable blogging from the Lappy. Anyhow..I'm here to talk about the above mentioned topic =]

Reducing Belly Fat

I saw this article on FB and it strikes me to post something here. Yes. Belly Fats. I am sure many out there are facing the same problem too. For BTB, I am sure we want to get rid of these extra baggage fast before the fitting day right. Hmm...let's see

1) Reduce Sugar - This is a bit tough but it is still possible. I have been avoiding it as much as I can. Less Carbonated drinks. Coke is a No No! and yes..It's sugar that makes us fat..not Fats! If you know what I mean. Teh Tarik have been my favourite..( Energy Booster tao) but eversince I wanted to lose weight..I have been avoiding it as much as I can. I think I only like have it occasionally when I have the urge. Maybe 2-3 cups a month. Power kan! haha.

2) Consume Healthy Fats - Ok..so what is healthy fats??? Haha..I have absolutely no idea soo...I google. Google is the best tool! So this is what I found. So now I need to adjust my diet .

Fats are being categorised into 4 types.
  • monounsaturated fats
  • polyunsaturated fats
  • saturated fats
  • trans fats
Monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats are known as the “good fats” because they are good for your heart, your cholesterol, and your overall health.

GOOD FATS
Monounsaturated fat Polyunsaturated fat
  • Olive oil
  • Canola oil
  • Sunflower oil
  • Peanut oil
  • Sesame oil
  • Avocados
  • Olives
  • Nuts (almonds, peanuts, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, pecans, cashews)
  • Peanut butter
  • Soybean oil
  • Corn oil
  • Safflower oil
  • Walnuts
  • Sunflower, sesame, and pumpkin seeds
    Flaxseed
  • Fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, trout, sardines)
  • Soymilk
  • Tofu

BAD FATS
Saturated fat Trans fat
  • High-fat cuts of meat (beef, lamb, pork)
  • Chicken with the skin
  • Whole-fat dairy products (milk and cream)
  • Butter
  • Cheese
  • Ice cream
  • Palm and coconut oil
  • Lard
  • Commercially-baked pastries, cookies, doughnuts, muffins, cakes, pizza dough
  • Packaged snack foods (crackers, microwave popcorn, chips)
  • Stick margarine
  • Vegetable shortening
  • Fried foods (French fries, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, breaded fish)
  • Candy bars
3. No white Carbs - It says it all..Any Carbo which is white. Avoid it & exchange it for whole -grain.
Maybe Exchange White Rice with Brown Rice. White Bread with Whole Grain Bread.

4.  2 - 3 L of Water Daily - Wah this is tough! I know water is essential to us and we need to drink enough water. But I'm the type who is so difficult to drink water lor!!

5. Manage Stress - Hmm...Maybe at this moment, my stress level is low.Wait till I start preparing for the wedding. Hee!!!

6. Increase veggies Intake - I guess I have no problem with greenies :) I can just choose those I like and increase the intake.

7. Eat Lean Proteins - I think I am ok with this. I am not a beef lover, so I normally eat chicken or fish. In any case, if you may not know what are Lean Proteins. Well i can say, fish is the healthiest lean protein. Chicken without the skin. Eggs without the yolks.Low Fat Dairies.

8. Move Your Body - It simply means. Exercise. Yes I do..so no worries for me..just need to force the lazy bum to go for a jog or work out..haha

9. Fresh lemon in warm water - Hmm..I did this before but have not done it since. Maybe I need to start doing this regularly

10. Love the body you have to while you work to the body you want - Agree. Nothing more I have to say.

Start Working Out again...

I am left with exactly 45 mins more before I knock off from work. I am counting down..no mood to work lately. No motivation..so demoralize.

I have not been working out for almost a month now ever since Ramadan. I did went for evening jogs during the first week of Ramadan but after that I was too tired by the time I came back from work. So, yesterday I kick start my workout again. Initially I thought I would probably be able to jog for 2 rounds (about 628m) considering that I have not been working out. But amazingly, I finish off with a 1.57km jog, 300m brisk walking, 10 counts of push ups, 20 counts of sit up & climbing the stairs till the 6th level. *pats back*
Definitely a good start!! I was even motivated to start working out everyday at least 30min.

Reminiscing back to the old me, I was a 78kg lady back then. All because of the pills. I fall sick and had to take the steroids for 2 years in fact till now ( a reduced dosage now, I even skip it). And because of that I balloon myself. My appetite was crazy...my menstrual cycle also hay wire, but the good thing I was like having a flawless skin ha ha! That pill really made my eczema skin look so nice and flawless. When I broke up with my 4 yr relationship with my ex-bf a year ago, I just thought this is it. Since I was feeling really down and shitty, I shall make use of this pain to gain myself back. I do not want to become those typical people where they drown themselves in food paradise when they are feeling down trying to forget the past. I want to be different. Proving to myself and everybody that I can live without him. At the end of the day, I will gain that credit. No one else.

I spent almost 6 days a week exercising. I will be at the gym about 3-4 days a week & jogging on the other days. At the same time, I was taking a weight loss supplement, Herbal Life to control my food intake. I'm glad to say that from a 78kg lady, I went down to a 63kg. 15kg in total! Alhamdulilah. It took me about a year plus as I was taking it slow and steady as I do not want the effect of losing fast & gaining it fast as well. So, as you see the picture, I was 78kg back then ( my face so bulat ) & by the end of year 2012, I was at 65kg. Now, I'm weighing at 63kg and stuck at this number (urgh). During Ramadan, I drop to 62kg but I gain back the 1kg right after Raya. LOL!! I am aiming for 58 kg by end of this year. Insyallah :)

I am meeting the future fiancee after work. Ohh I shall share that story on another post, yes it's confirm - we will be engaged . Insyallah! We will be going to do a recce on the engagement rings. Honestly, I don't know what kind of rings should i be looking for. I will just go jalan-jalan and take a look later. Ok I need to go now. Left another half an hour before I knock off, let me just work on some of my reports before I pack :)

xoxo

Kecoh Raya

Ok..my Hari Raya is super kecohrable~

2 days before Hari Raya, I fall sick & I have not recovered till today. The best thing is I have finished up my medicine :( Si "kanchong" must have been the cause of it. He was the first one to fall sick & me having low immune system due to all the pills im taking, as expected get the virus.

It sucks when you are only able to drink plain water during visiting. On a positive note, since plain water have 0 calories, so I guess I am happy only with drinking plain water, at the least I'm not putting on more weight..haha like real padahal makan boleh tahan jugak and honestly I gain the kg back after losing it during Ramadhan. Sungguh sedih!

My Raya was pretty much ok. Nothing new lah..every year the same lor. 1st day of Raya, I don't normally go out so I just stay at home and help prepare for the feast that night. 2nd to 4th Syawal, I went visiting & alhamdulilah there are a few who have commented that I Slim down. Hard work does pay off  yo!

That's all for my entry this time.

xoxo

Fitness

December..

Walking through slowly mainly because most of the people have went off for their Xmas Leave.Since I have some free time now, I decided to pen my thoughts instead.

Ever since November last year, I have made a goal to myself that I need to lose weight.
Yes, it has been my goals for so many years but the goal always failed. LOL! So for this time, I really make it a point to work on it.

I have been taking Herbal Life sin Last year Nov. Just solely on it, I manage to lose 8kg.
I was of course the most happiest woman but after that I started to slack but I manage to maintain my weight.

This year in August, my friend decided to enroll for AMORE Fitness and ask me to tag along.
With herbalLife & Exercise, I manage to lose a few more kilos. But Somehow, I find that my weight are rather stubborn, it sits on one figure for so bloody long. Maybe it's just me. Ha Ha.

Up to date, I have lost 10Kg and am working more on it.

The satisfaction I feel when people compliment me was Amazing! =)

Bio-Resonance Thereapy

I came across this Bio-Resonance Therapy while googling for a cure to Ezcema. Yes, with this weather the ezcema starts to flare up again. Ahh..I just hate it. Sighz. I am so stressed whenever the skin is feeling unwell. I will fell so concerned about how i look like.

Anyway, as how it claims :

Bioresonance uses the principles of quantum physics to modify the patient’s own electromagnetic oscillations in order to attain balance of the body’s energetic imbalances. These energetic imbalances result in conditions such as allergies, asthma, cancer, diabetes, eczema, food Intolerance, and so forth.

The human body emits different electromagnetic oscillations: cells, tissue and organs each have their specific oscillations. These single oscillations are in mutual correlation and influence each other. Together they form the patient’s entire oscillation spectrum, the individual oscillation pattern.

You can very well imagine that the oscillations of a healthy person have a different structure than those of a sick person. In the oscillation pattern of a sick person the oscillations of foreign substances stored in the body such as amalgam, bacteria, viruses, allergens, mycosis etc. disturb the normal oscillation pattern.

These disturbing electromagnetic oscillations are received and transferred to the BICOM device via electrodes placed on certain parts of the body. In the device these oscillations are changed and then returned to the patient’s body in the form of healing therapy oscillations. The body is never exposed to any kind of harmful current or radiation. It can also considerably strengthen your immune system and self-healing powers.

Taken from: http://www.bioresonancetherapy.com.sg

I am not sure how much this will cost me. Hmm..Should i take it up?? Maybe I shall do some research first.
